Green Technology, Energy and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui welcomes any move by the Selangor government to sue him over the state water assets issue.
Chin said he has no right to terminate the contract signed by the concessionaire Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas).
"My power is only to coordinate and ensure there is constant supply of water," he told reporters after launching Sirim's new energy efficient lab here on Tuesday.
"It is up to him (Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim) if he wants to bring me to court. Bringing me to court is not going to solve the matter because the minister has no right to terminate the water concessionaires contract," he said.
Khalid had reportedly said that he would take Chin to court if the latter does not use his ministerial powers to take over the water assets from the state.--TheStar
